Michelle began her fitness career nearly 30 years ago. Over the years her love of instructing stayed constant. She has taught everything from aerobics, aqua, step, slide and kickboxing, to bootcamp, TRX, sculpting, BodyPump, spin and senior exercise. She enjoys helping others with their fitness goals by encouraging them to get started, challenging them to push their limits and by motivating them to do their best.
Her first yoga experience was with Bikram yoga, 15 years ago. Although she had been a fitness instructor for years, Michelle was strong and had endurance, but little core strength and her body was extremely tight and inflexible. She realized yoga is a progression that requires patience and listening to your body. 6 years ago, she started taking hot Vinyasa classes. She loved the creative aspect of Vinyasa and knew she wanted to take it further by becoming an instructor.
Michelle’s extensive fitness background, experience and training gives her the skills to put together logically sequenced classes that are challenging but fun. Her hope is that you will leave feeling centered, strong and accomplished every time! She holds the following certifications: AFAA Practical Yoga Instructor Training, AFAA Yoga Essentials I and II, AFAA Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, and Kickboxing Certifications, and TRX Certification.
